Pai Gow Poker is a modern game with old origins. Founded on the old Chinese tile game and the modern American version of poker, Pai Gow poker combines the eastern with the western in a fantastic game for new gamblers.

Pai Gow is a poker game that pits the player against the dealer, not like nearly all other poker games that gamblers compete against other players. By wagering against the dealer, starting players don’t have to fret about other, more skillful gamblers winning their $$$$.

Pai Gow is played with 53 cards; the normal 52-card standard deck and one joker. The gambler is given seven cards face up and the croupier receives seven cards faces hidden.

One 5 card hand and one two card hand must be put together from the seven cards dealt, the five card hand has to be higher than the 2 card hand. To win, a player is required to have both of his hand totals to be better than the dealer’s.
