Poker Aces refers to two aces dealt before theflop. It is the best attainable before theflop hand intexas hold’em Poker. But despite this a good many players find themselves on the wrong end when given this hand.
When you are given a set of Aces, you just don’t drop out pre-flop. You are sitting with the best possible hand at this part of the game. So how do you gamble with Poker Aces ? Do you basically go all-in? I would say no to that.
Remember, you are trying to earn as much money out of this strong position. You need to maximise the opportunity. Going all-in will simply drive most competitors into dropping out without making a wager.
If you are in the initial spot (1st or 2nd to place a wager), you’ll make a single bet. Anybody with decent cards will call, hopefully a person might raise. If someone has made a raise don’t jump to re-raise or call, pause for a small bit – make them think you’re considering your options and then call.
After the flop your strategy will be to get rid of anyone that might be able to get a straight or a flush. So I would begin to raise aggressively, if you’re lucky you’ll trick one player into believing that you are bluffing.
If you’re in the middle or later seat (one of the last to cast a bet) you will watch as every player calls and then raise. Even though you’re sitting with a pair of aces, if possible try to abstain from a show-down. Defend your hand by forcing the other players drop out after the flop. If you don’t abolish your competitors you chance losing your hand.
