Online poker has become world acclaimed lately, with televised competitions and celebrity poker game events. The games universal appeal, though, stretches back in fact a bit further than its television ratings. Over the years several variations on the first poker game have been developed, including some games that are not quite poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of these particular games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely resembling blackjack than traditional poker, in that the players wager against the bank instead of the other players. The winning hands, are the long-standing poker hands. There is no conniving or different types of deceptiveness. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to pay up prior to the dealer saying "No more wagers." At that point, both you and the casino and of course every one of the other gamblers receive 5 cards. After you have looked at your hand and the casino’s initial card, you must either make a call wager or accede. The call wager’s amount is on same level to your original bet, which means that the stakes will have doubled. Surrendering means that your ante goes immediately to the house. After the bet is the face off. If the dealer doesn’t have ace/king or greater, your bet is given back, with a figure on par with the ante. If the house does have ace/king or greater, you succeed if your hand is greater than the casino’s hand. The bank pony’s up chips even with your ante and set expectations on your call wager. These expectations are:
- Even for a pair or high card
- 2-1 for two pairs
- three to one for 3 of a kind
- 4-1 for a straight
- five to one for a flush
- 7-1 for a full house
- twenty to one for a 4 of a kind
- fifty to one for a straight flush
- 100-1 for a royal flush
